So I got this killer shoot planned for the July 3rd, which I intend to edit exactly like a magazine spread. Fake it till you make it...right? RIGHT! So... today I shot and edited the title page which I think is really important to shed light on the mood of the entire spread.

Im not usually for cursive text but it works here... don't lie. AND to be honest this first draft is probably too warm for the aesthetic of the actual shoot when I start editing it, but this is an exciting starttttttttttttttttt.

A few weeks ago I shot a tribute show that a group of talented established Toronto musicians were putting on to honour the legendary country singer Merle Haggard. No direct profits, just for giggles and to maybe get a few shots for the pianist, John Sheard. It was actually a lot of fun and now I've got a few Merle Haggard songs on my itunes to reminisce with.

So, life in Toronto has been good but I havent been as busy in the photography world as Ive liked. Fortunately I've had the pleasure of assisting this fashion photographer here in the city by the name of Mike Lewis. Mike's a super nice guy, and actually let me shoot some behind the scenes stills of a video he was doing. The video aint up yet but here's a link to his website, http://www.mikelewis.ca/fashion/.

I had the miraculous job of smoke machine, and might I say I NAILED IT. ha.

well... enough of that but I'm working on setting up a few shoots in the near future and you should be really excited. Hell yeah.

For Vogue, I was asked to shoot the local James Brett stylists when they came in to do hair on the final show night. Nothing fancy just some promo shots for sponsorship packages.

These are the highlights, straight out of the camera and that dark, fluorescent-lit, hairspray-clogged room.

It's this new show or project or 'thing' that posts episodes highlighting photographers (so far only from the U.S) and their techniques, set ups, and general story.

-granted some of it like the children's portraiture and "mom's with cameras" section isn't quite the direction I think I'm going to be headed it looks like it could be a really valuable resource to explore
